While some argue that humanity behaves like a virus, I see our species more akin to cancer cells - rapidly reproducing and consuming resources without regard for the well-being of our host, in this case, our planet Earth. The consequences of our unchecked population growth and voracious consumption of resources are dire, and now we are even contemplating colonizing other planets.
But this destructive behavior is not an inherent flaw of humanity; rather, it's a result of our lack of natural selection processes that could have limited our population growth and reproductive behavior. As an artist, I feel compelled to explore and depict these uncomfortable truths about our species, in hopes that we can recognize the harm we are causing and take steps to change course before it's too late. T4 is a powerful visual representation of this urgent message.
